I began my studies at Stirling with a BAcc in Accounting and Economics in 2008, a course I very much enjoyed. Not knowing where exactly I wanted to go with my career, I decided to stay at Stirling and study the MSc in International Accounting and Finance. Having already been a student for four years, I knew how good the Accounting and Finance division was and that I was in safe hands for my fifth year of higher education.
The MSc introduced me to a range of topics I had not encountered before, and offered a greater focus on research than I was used to. Over the course of the year I found that this was something I enjoyed doing, encouraging me to pursue a research degree which I have since started at Strathclyde University. Both the syllabus and the teaching staff were incredibly helpful in preparing me for a future in academia.
The course itself was often challenging but always a rewarding experience. I would not hesitate to recommend this course to anyone interested in pursuing a career in accounting or finance.
