MSc Investment Analysis

Kazakhstan

Before coming to Stirling I obtained a teaching degree and an MBA. After several years of teaching and jobs in accounting and administration at home in Kazakhstan, I became interested in investments and financial markets and decided to change my career. I looked for graduate programmes in investment and finance which would provide me with the knowledge and the practical skills necessary for this new career. That is how I first learned of the University of Stirling and their MSc in Investment Analysis. I was offered a full scholarship and was honoured to study at Stirling.

The programme was interesting, exciting, challenging and demanding - I could go on. From the first lecture until the dissertation submission the programme was very thorough and I found it fascinating. As a Program partner of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute the programme follows the CFA curriculum and provides students with the foundation to become qualified as a CFA. The teaching and administrative staff are very professional, approachable and responsive.

I was lucky to get some time to visit the Highlands of Scotland, including Glencoe, and was impressed by Scotland’s beauty. The university is located close to the historical and friendly city of Stirling. I love the university’s campus, with its beautiful scenery: the loch, the hills and the forests.

I am confident that the knowledge I have acquired will be applicable in my future career.
