MSc International Accounting and Finance

Greece

After completing my first degree in Accounting and Finance I looked for opportunities to undertake a Masters degree in International Accounting. The University of Stirling had launched the MSc in International Accounting and Finance and I was offered a Divisional full fee Scholarship which I accepted immediately.

I joined the Accounting and Finance Division in September 2008 and I felt honoured to be taught from world renown researchers who were experts in their fields. Since my very first lecture in September up to the time I submitted my dissertation I was surrounded by professors and lecturers who provided me with a high quality of knowledge and skills, all of which was applicable in both academia and the profession. I am very thankful to every single one of the academic staff of the Division for the valuable skills and knowledge they passed to me and assisted me to develop.

The MSc in International Accounting and Finance from the University of Stirling added great credibility to my CV assisting me to enter a career in academia by securing a place as a PhD student at the University of Exeter. The Masters equipped me with the best and most sustainable foundations to further my career.

I would recommend the MSc in International Accounting and Finance to anyone who is interested in expanding their knowledge or undertaking a career in accounting or finance. The reason is that the spectrum and level of teaching satisfies both types of students; those with a degree in a related area and students with no prior knowledge in the fields of accounting and finance. The high quality of teaching satisfies everyone’s needs.

Studying at the University of Stirling was one year that I will never forget.
