I chose to undertake my Masters at the University of Stirling because of its academic excellence, its international student community and its supportive environment. While comparing Universities, I remember that Stirling stood out from the other because of its vast international community and the constant and personalised assistance I was getting during my application.

Additionally, Stirling offered a great number of scholarships and financial aid that made my dream of studying abroad a reality. Studying at Stirling certainly boosted my professional career. Modules such us Business Consulting, International Strategy or Project Management helped me understand real-life business challenges. The practical approach of the Master’s challenged me to think out of the box and combine what I had learnt into a meaningful solutions. Complementing this, I had several opportunities to engage with local businesses in providing solutions for them. The most important of these interactions was my Consultancy Project Report.  
Equally important, being a student at Stirling gave me the chance to experience a cosmopolitan environment that allowed me to expand my cultural awareness. As an International Business student, this is certainly a priceless opportunity.

Engaging with local business was certainly the best part of the course. From these experiences I was able to not only understand how to put into practice all the theories that I had learnt, but also I could actually see if my ideas and solutions were meaningful for businesses’ owners. These collaborations with local companies where extremely challenging. However, the knowledge I acquired from them was of the utmost importance for my professional development. 

I am currently working for a consulting company that specialises in digital transformation and cloud technologies. Securing this job would have not been possible without the soft skills I developed during my year at Stirling. My role currently involves delivering presentations to clients, doing market research, preparing business models, and interacting with multiple stakeholders. I had little experience in all those areas prior to becoming a student at Stirling but, fortunately, the University was committed to developing all these areas and more.
