Ayush Gupta

Ayush is currently a postgraduate student at the University of Stirling studying the MSc Digital Marketing and Brand Management. After graduation his goal is to become a Brand Manager within a leading retail company.

Studying a Masters in Digital Marketing and Brand Management has been an incredibly enriching experience. My top highlights include modules such as:

These modules provided the perfect balance between creativity and analytical thinking, which is essential in today’s marketing industry. What makes this course unique is that it combines Brand Management with Digital Marketing a powerful combination that prepares students for modern marketing leadership roles.

Real-life marketing experience and first-rate teaching

One of the most valuable aspects of the course was the opportunity to work on real-world business challenges. We worked closely with real brands during coursework and dissertation projects. For my Brand Management coursework, I provided managerial consultation to an actual real estate brand. This experience gave me practical exposure to real industry problems and strengthened my strategic thinking skills. I also developed stronger communication skills and gained confidence in presenting strategic ideas. I enhanced my analytical abilities, especially in interpreting business data and applying insights to decision-making.

The teaching has been outstanding. My lecturers delivered in-depth, industry-relevant insights that went beyond theory. Their approach ensured we understood how concepts apply in real business environments.

Group learning has been one of the best parts of my journey. Learning with and from peers from different continents broadened my perspective and made discussions more impactful. The diversity of thought truly enhanced my understanding.

Great campus life and excellent facilities at Stirling

The facilities at Stirling are exceptional. The library is spacious, well-designed, and fully equipped with resources, study spaces, and PCs. The campus itself feels like a city surrounded by a beautiful loch, with one of the best sports centres in the area.

I stayed in off-campus student accommodation, which quickly became my second home. It is spacious, comfortable, and allowed me to build strong friendships. I am proud to be part of the Student Social Media Ambassador team something I aspired to join even while applying to the university. Being involved in representing the university has been both rewarding and inspiring.

My favourite places on campus are Campus Central and the Sports Centre. Whether going to the gym or participating in sports activities, it kept me active and connected with students from diverse backgrounds.

This Masters degree has prepared me for the world of work

This degree has given me the strategic, analytical and creative foundation required for my ambitions. My goal is to become a Brand Manager within a leading retail company and gradually progress towards becoming a Chief Marketing Officer. I also aspire to one day feature in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.

The course has built my confidence, enhanced my leadership mindset, and prepared me to face real-world marketing challenges with resilience and clarity. Stirling has not only equipped me with academic knowledge but also helped me grow personally and professionally.

Be confident, stay resilient, and explore every opportunity available to you

This is my advice for anyone thinking of studying at Stirling. Network with people who have greater knowledge and learn from them. Go to your lectures consistently and stay focused on your long-term goals. Respect the culture, stay connected with your family, and most importantly, believe in your potential. Stirling provides the platform, it is up to you to make the most of it.

As an international student, my experience has been transformative. Choosing to pursue postgraduate studies abroad has been one of the best.
