To celebrate the University of Stirling’s 60th anniversary, we are pleased to offer this scholarship during the University’s 60th year to recognise students from a variety of backgrounds and abilities who are prepared to inspire, ready to shape their future careers and ‘Be the difference’ in Stirling and globally.
The scholarship will be awarded in the form of a £2,000 tuition fee waiver for new students in the first year of a Masters degree and is open to all full-time, self-funding students who are classed as home for tuition fee purposes and domiciled in Scotland.
Eligibility and availability
- You must have received a conditional or unconditional offer for an eligible postgraduate taught course at the University of Stirling, any application without a valid offer will not be assessed.
- Please ensure you have read the terms and conditions before submitting your applications.
- You must be a new student starting at the University in September 2027 or January 2028.
- You must be classed as a home student for tuition fee purposes and domiciled in Scotland.
- You must be a self-funded student (those receiving external sponsorship or other scholarships will not be eligible).
- You must enter directly into a full-time postgraduate taught degree programme delivered at the University’s Stirling campus.
- Part-time and Online degrees are not eligible.
- This scholarship cannot be combined with any other Stirling scholarship or award. If offered more than one University of Stirling award, then the highest value award will be applied.
- The following courses are excluded from this scholarship:
- PGDip/PGCert courses
- Online courses
- MSc Strategic Communication and Public Relations (UPF Barcelona)
- MSc Psychological Therapy in Primary Care
- MSc Educational Leadership (specialist Qualification for Headship)
- MSc Professional Education and Leadership
- MSc Human Rights and Diplomacy
How to apply
Applications must be submitted via the Stirling’s 60 for 60 Scholarship Application 2027-2028.
Applications will open and available on our scholarships page from 1 September 2026 and will be assessed and awarded on at various points throughout the year:
- 30 January 2027
- 30 June 2027
- 10 December 2027
