Victim Support Scotland for students and staff

If you have been a victim of crime, witness and or have friends/family members who have been Victim Support Scotland can help with emotional and practical support, including information about the criminal justice system. The service is free, independent, non-judgemental and confidential. Currently this is only available over the phone but will resume on campus when possible.

Who can use the service?

We support victims of crime, witnesses and their family members, regardless of who they are and their circumstances. We offer bespoke support, personalised to the needs of each individual.

How do I access support?

The helpline is open 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. Call: 0800 160 1985

What kind of support is available?

Both emotional and practical support is available, from talking through common reactions to crime to dealing with the aftermath and help managing tasks. We can also provide guidance on how to navigate the criminal justice system and what to expect.
