Rape Crisis Forth Valley Support Service for students and staff

If you have experienced sexual violence at any point in your life and you would like to talk to someone we can offer you a confidential specialist support service. We are on campus every Tuesday as well as being available as our usual location in Stirling.

Who can use the service?

Students and staff of all genders who have experienced any form of sexual violence at any point in their lives can freely access the service. This service is also open to any member of the University community who is supporting someone who has experienced sexual violence.

How do I access support?

What kind of support is available?

Confidential one-to-one support is available whether you require a one-off appointment or longer-term one-to-one sessions. The approach is non-directive which means that we work with whatever you want to discuss during your sessions. You choose the pace and how much you want to share. There are absolutely no requirements to disclose details of what you experienced; we won’t tell you what to do or ask a lot of questions.

Advocacy service for those thinking of reporting to the police or who have reported is also available. If you think you this would be a good option, this can be discussed in more detail at your initial appointment.
