Professor Ernest Wei Gao

Professor Ernest Wei Gao holds a PhD in Languages/Translation and Interpreting Studies from Heriot-Watt University. He once taught respectively at Lanzhou University of Technology, China,  and University of Stirling, UK. Currently he is chair in translation, interpreting and cognition, and dean of English College, Dalian University, China, and was appointed as external professor and PhD supervisor of University of Stirling. Initially he acted as a professional translator and interpreter for a machine tool company for 5 years.
