Our performance swimming programme allow you to focus on a dual career of study and sport, with a focus on preparing athletes for major Games and Championships. The programme enjoys a unique and relaxed atmosphere. It is individually tailored to help swimmers meet their goals. Our experience helps you establish an appropriate balance between study, training, competition, rest and recovery, creating longevity to your swimming career.
We're proud to support performance swimming in Scotland and run a high performance programme based at the National Swimming Academy. Our facilities include a six lane 50m swimming pool which can be split into two 25m pools, high performance preparation room, state-of-the-art sports science laboratories, and strength and conditioning suites.
The University is also investing £20m in redeveloping our sports facilities which will include a new state-of-the-art high performance strength and conditioning suite connected directly to the swimming pool.
