Our football scholarships provide you with an excellent package of training, competition and funding as you take your academic studies.
At Stirling we bring together high performance coaches, fantastic facilities, advanced sport science, strength and conditioning, physiotherapy support and performance mentoring. We also have five high quality grass football pitches, one of which has floodlights.
We host training for Scottish Premier League side St Johnstone. Our facilities include a 3G pitch and state-of-the-art strength and conditioning suites with 10 Olympic lifting platforms.
Scholarship footballers represent the University in the Scottish Women's Premier League and the Scottish Cup, against the likes of Glasgow City, Hibernian, Celtic and Rangers. We also play in the British Universities Premier League North, British Universities Championships and Scottish universities competitions. Stirling students have represented Scotland at A Squad level and Great Britain at the World University Games.

The Mackay Clinic kindly sponsors football scholarships. It’s renowned for the invention of its revolutionary Internal Brace by Professor Gordon Mackay. It’s the most significant advance in the treatment of ligaments and tendons in a generation.
Vision Outsourcing has supported the football programme since 2009, providing bespoke clothing and equipment. Drew Campbell is an avid sports fan and his business partner, Jamie MacDonald, is a former Stirling Sports Union President.

Scholarships are subject to applicants achieving relevant academic entry requirements.
These scholarships are awarded to undergraduate students from England, Wales, Northern Ireland or from outside the EU who meet both the sport-specific and academic qualification criteria.
We are a network member of Winning Students, Scotland's national sports scholarship programme. It provides funding support and academic flexibility to athletes studying in colleges and universities.
