The Student Hardship Fund

Financing life, holding down a part-time job and studying can be a struggle at the best of times but the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic is exacerbating underlying disadvantage.  Students are facing deep uncertainty and heightened anxiety.  Jobs are lost and loans have ended, and the Hardship Fund is needed more than ever.  Your gift will be directed to where it is most needed, helping students who are facing hardship right now, and those who come under financial pressure in the months ahead.

Current students: How to apply for support

Distribution of the The Hardship Fund is overseen by Student Support Services. If you’re a current student who would like to apply for financial assistance through the fund, please read our guidelines and complete an application form.

I used the Hardship Fund in my third year of university, and I can safely say that without it I would have had to face potentially dropping out.
