We can help you take the first step towards a healthier lifestyle. Whether or not you’ve played sport, or been inside a gym, there is something for everyone.
Activities
Student group walks
Take the first step and come along to one of our student walking groups around campus. These are free for everyone and allow you to get outside for some fresh air and meet new faces. You will find these advertised in the wellbeing section of the sports app and Be Connected calendar, with information on times and meeting points.
Student yoga classes
Come along to our student yoga classes that will take place at Juniper Court student accommodation every Friday at 10:30. This is free for all students and you can book through the wellbeing section of the Sports app.
Just Play Sport
If you’re looking to take part in some sport for fun, with no commitment, our Just Play Programme makes sports sociable and fun. These sessions allow you to come and try out a variety of sports and make new friends. Don’t worry if you’ve not played before, our activity leaders will be there to help you out. You can book a session under our Activity Timetable. Sessions cost £2.20 or are free with your sports centre membership.
Student events
Come along to one of our monthly events, led by our student sports leaders. Our monthly events are a great way to meet fellow students, have fun, and try new activities.
Be Connected programme
The University Be Connected Programme can be found on the University of Stirling App, activities include exercise, cultural, fun, and informative events where you can meet new friends, learn new skills, and just enjoy yourself.
How to get involved?
Please download our University of Stirling Sport app and click the Student Sport tile for a timetable of all activities. All students automatically have an account with us and all you need to do is reset your password using your University email address. Once you’ve created an account, please select ‘Wellbeing’ to view the Activity Timetable.
Make a booking
Whether it's a Welcome Week event, fitness class, sports session or pay-and-play activity, our app is the easiest way to book.
Just follow the instructions above to activate your account and you are good to go! Just be sure you are logged in before making any bookings to ensure you don't get any unwanted charges! If you have a sports centre membership activities will show as free.

Accessing the facilities
You will need a physical student card, phone sticker or key fob to access the facilities and a valid booking or membership on your account.
The app-based student card will not work in the Sports facilities.
If you don't have your physical card, please report to reception who will provide a temporary card to grant access. Alternatively, phone stickers and key fobs can be purchased for £3 each.

Booking Policy
- Bookings must be made in advance via the University of Stirling Sport app, you will not be granted access without a booking.
- Bookings can be made up to 5 days in advance. Bookings can be made up to 15 minutes before the session is due to start.
- Cancellations must be made 4 hours prior to the booking start time. Should a student fail to attend their booked session or cancel with less than 4 hour's notice, three times within 4 weeks, then the customer’s ability to book online will be revoked for 1 week.
- Waiting lists will be enabled, and correspondence will be sent out to all those on the waiting list should a space become available in a class that was previously full. The space can be taken on a first-come, first serve basis by anybody on the waiting list.
