I am a lecturer in sport management.
Before my appointment here, I worked as an assistant rofessor of sport management at University of Sao Paulo, Ribeirao Preto. I received my doctor degree from the Ohio State University, with a major in sport management and a minor in research methods. During my doctorate, I was fully funded by the Fulbright Commission - USA and the Brazilian Ministry of Education. In the 2014/2015 academic year, I spent a year as a visiting scholar at Isenberg School of Management, University of Massachusetts – Amherst.
My research has been published in Journal of Sport Management, European Sport Management Quarterly, and Sport Management Review, among other journals.
My current research interests are in legacies of sport mega-events hosted by developing nations and international sport consumption behaviour.
I am a sport enthusiast. While I like all sports, I have a preference for the beauty and intelligence of volleyball. I am a former professional volleyball coach.
