Honorary Degree Nominations

The University asks its staff to nominate outstanding individuals for the award of either Doctor of the University or Master of Arts.

  • An Honorary Degree of Doctor of the University (DUniv) recognises an individual’s outstanding services to the University or their distinction in the fields of learning, the arts or public affairs.
  • An Honorary Degree of Master of Arts (MA) recognises an individual’s long and meritorious service to the University or their outstanding contribution to the community.

Nominations are considered by the Honorary Degrees Committee and must remain confidential and not be discussed with the nominee at any time.
