Academic Regulations

The Academic Regulations form a core strand of the University’s Regulatory Framework, and as such are an important reference point for both students and staff. The Regulatory Framework also includes ordinances, policies, procedures, codes of practice, module descriptors and programme specifications.

Staff and students must abide by the Academic Regulations, and it is their responsibility to ensure familiarity with the Regulations that apply to the programmes on which they are studying or for which they hold teaching responsibilities.

Every effort is made to ensure that the information published within the University's Regulatory Framework remains accurate and current. However, the University reviews its programmes on a on a continuous basis to ensure quality and currency. In addition, a range of circumstances can arise where the University requires to vary elements of the framework, its programmes/modules, or the delivery of programmes/modules.

The University therefore reserves the right to make alterations to the framework and its programmes and modules and their delivery. Where this is the case, the University considers carefully the alterations that are required, and communicates these to students and applicants as appropriate.
