Students' Union Welcome Week

Whether you are a new undergraduate or new postgraduate student or returning for another year - there is a full programme of activity to welcome you to, and back to, Your Students' Union! For more information, visit the Students' Union website.

Membership

Every registered student is automatically a member of the University of Stirling Students' Union. This means you can benefit from the services and facilities that we provide ranging from academic support and representation to the ability to join our many Societies and Sports teams. The Union's offices and catering/bar facilities are handily located just off the Atrium area of the University.

Societies

The Union has over 70 Societies which cater for a wide range of interests. Ranging from the big to the small, there literally is something for everyone – be it the Drama Society or student Radio Station, Air3. Societies are a great way to meet new friends and enhance your CV. All will be sharing their events on our What’s On calendar. Here you can find out more about the societies, give them a try and then decide which you'd like to join.

Sports Union

The Union is also the home of the Sports Union – over 50 clubs which provide everything from high-performance competitions to those which are there just for the fun of it! They’ve got everything from American Football to Lacrosse, Basketball, Hockey and more. We'll share information on their welcome events in our What’s On calendar. Here you can find out more about the clubs, give them a try and then decide which you'd like to join.

Representation

The Union is proud to be run by students, for students. A team of full-time Sabbatical Officers and part-time Executive Officers ensure the student's voice is heard within the University, local community and to a wider audience as part of its work with the National Union of Students. Elections are held throughout the year so if you’d like to get involved, why not come into the Union to find out more?

Union outlets

The Union is the home of the best locations on campus for food and drink. Venue is your home from home and is your main on-campus bar and catering outlet and home for lots of events during term. The curly fries and macaroni cheese are legendary! Underground is our popular coffee shop offering all your favourite hot and cold Starbucks coffees, teas and Frappuccinos with a range of tasty treats to enjoy with it, including paninis and cakes. We post the latest info on the opening times of our venues on the Students' Union website.

The Students' Union website is the first place to find out about everything taking place with your Union. You can also buy your Sports Union and Clubs and Societies memberships. You can also keep up-to-date with the latest information by joining us on Instagram @stirlingunion.

Union shop

The Union has a shop on-campus which provides a range of items that you'll need during your time as a student. This ranges from stationery and sportswear to memory sticks and keyrings. It's also where you can get the famous University of Stirling hoodie! Pop into the shop and check out the latest deals. We also have the Students' Union online shop with worldwide delivery options so have a look at the range of products online.

The Green and Blue Space

Your environmental home on campus! The Green and Blue Space is a central hub for living sustainably - from zero waste products and sustainable lifestyle swaps to re-purposing and re-selling unwanted homeware, clothing and electronics, saving them from landfill. Bring your own containers and refill from our gravity dispensers or grab some vegan pick-n-mix or ethical chocolate. There's even a new dedicated project space in the hub which will be used for workshops, environmentally focused societies activity and so much more.
