Student sport

Being active at University can improve your mental and physical well-being, increase your grade expectations and make you feel more included in the university community. That’s why we have lots of opportunities for everyone to get involved.

Our new student sport programme includes the popular Just Play Sport for those looking for a more recreational environment, plus the introduction of Household Sport.  Household Sport allows a group of students from the same household to book a court during a specific time to play casual sport.

Our student recreational sport programmes are for everyone, whether you’re a beginner, want to get fit, play a favourite sport or try a new sport.  Theyre a great way to meet new people and play sport with friends on a regular basis.

More student programmes and events will be added throughout the semester as the guidelines change including;

  • Social Sport Leagues
  • Get Active – Courses and dedicated beginner student fitness classes
  • Pop-up Events – UV Sport will be returning throughout the academic year so keep an eye on our app and social media channels @Sportatstirling

Student club sport: find your sport and #bleedgreen

Student club sport at Stirling is run by the Stirling Sports Union, with over 55 clubs currently covering everything from athletics to water polo.

Many of our clubs are hugely successful and are always looking for students to get involved so why not get in touch to have a go!

A number of teams compete in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) events and competitions organised by Scottish Student Sport.
