Student sport

We provide a wide range of opportunities including recreational, social and competitive sport for all of our students. Get involved and enjoy a healthier, happier life.

Get Active

Do you want to exercise more? Try out a new sport? Enjoy a fun, non-competitive activity?

Our Get Active programme provides an opportunity for all staff and students to adopt an active lifestyle. The programme is for everyone, whether you’re a beginner, want to get fit, play a favourite sport or try a new one.

Our range of activities include:

Sport doesn’t have to be about competition. Get Active is a great way to have fun, keep fit and meet new people - and you don't have to be a member to take part.

Create your team. Play your league

University of Stirling Sport’s Intramural leagues provide students and staff with an opportunity to create their own teams and compete against other teams within the University.

For 2018-19 the Intramural programme is expanding to include 6-a-side football, 11-a-side football, 3v3 basketball and squash.

Student club sport: find your sport and #bleedgreen

Student club sport at Stirling is run by the Stirling Sports Union, with over 55 clubs currently covering everything from athletics to water polo.

Many of our clubs are hugely successful and are always looking for students to get involved so why not get in touch to have a go!

A number of teams compete in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) events and competitions organised by Scottish Student Sport.
