Make a racket at cut-price University tennis courts

Back to news

Keen tennis fans inspired by Wimbledon can challenge their friends to a cut-price match at the Scottish National Tennis Centre.

The University of Stirling’s indoor and outdoor courts have been a training base to British No.1 Andy Murray and a discount Summer deal means there has never been a better time to pick up your racket.

From Monday (27 June) and running right through the school holidays until the end of August, each court is available for just £5 per hour – which is better than half price.

So whether you want to get in some practice or settle a family grudge, the University tennis courts offer the ideal place to do just that.

Sports Participation Officer Jennifer Tattersall said: “I’m sure Wimbledon has everyone in the mood to play tennis and with Andy Murray as inspiration then where better to do it than at the Scottish National Tennis Centre. It doesn’t matter whether you are an ace player or a keen amateur – our indoor and outdoor courts are available for anyone to enjoy.”

Anyone who has already booked on a normal rate for this period will have their rate amended to the discount price when they come to pay.

The University courts are open for community use all year round and there are also classes for children and adults.

To book a court, contact the Sports Centre reception on 01786 466900.
