Photography
On graduation day, photography is provided by Ede & Ravenscroft, the official photographer of the University.
There are a variety of photography pack options available. For more details please visit the Ede & Ravenscroft website.
Photography studios will be available on the day in Campus Central. Queues can be long, so we advise you to have your photographs taken before your ceremony if time allows.
Award photographs
In addition to the photography studios on the day, each graduate will have their photo taken while crossing the stage. These photographs can be viewed after the ceremony.
During the ceremony
Please note that to avoid obstructing the view of other guests or causing a distraction, members of the audience may take photographs from a seated position, but should not move about the venue or use flash apparatus.
Use of images
All graduands and guests should be aware that graduation ceremonies and receptions are public events. Each ceremony will be broadcast live on the day, and digital recordings of the ceremony will be available to purchase.
Audio/visual images of the ceremony and graduation reception are publicly available and will often be used in University webpages and publications.
By attending the ceremony, each graduand and guest gives their consent to potentially being filmed and/or photographed.
Buy a USB
Attaining a degree after several years of study is a milestone in your life and the graduation ceremony is an occasion to remember. Purchase a USB of your ceremony, showing the magic moment when your degree is conferred.
Each USB will be supplied in a presentation case designed by the University. They are available to purchase on the Union Shop website for £14.99 plus postage and packaging. Once you have purchased your USB, you will receive an email from the Union Shop to confirm your ceremony date and time. USBs will then be despatched within 28 working days.
Merchandise and souvenirs
The University offers a wide range of merchandise which makes great souvenirs or gifts for friends and family. The range includes silk scarves, tartan products, scroll cases, cuddly toys, note pads, luggage tags and car stickers. Visit the University Shop at the graduation reception to buy your souvenir or you can purchase in advance from the Students' Union online shop.
We have teamed up with Campus Clothing to provide an exclusive range of personalised luxury hoodies & t-shirts with graduate’s names printed on the back. Visit the Campus Clothing stall at the graduation reception, where a selection of graduation merchandise will be available to purchase and take away. You can also place orders for items that you would like personalised at the event.
