Changes to ceremonies on Friday 24 March 2023

The times of the upcoming Spring graduation ceremonies have changed. The ceremonies due to take place at 10:00 and 14:30 on Friday 24 March 2023 will now both take place at 11:30.

Please tell us whether you still plan to attend or not by no later than Wednesday 15 March 2023 (please respond using the link emailed to you, or contact the graduation team: certificates@stir.ac.uk). We hope you can still join us at the rearranged time and look forward to welcoming you on the day.

I am now unable to attend. What options are available to me?

Should you no longer wish to attend graduation, please contact our graduation team to arrange for your award documentation to be posted to you. There may also be an option for you to attend a future graduation ceremony later in the year – please let the graduation team know if this is something you would like to explore. Please email: certificates@stir.ac.uk

I have paid in advance for my gown and photography, can I reclaim the costs?

Refunds will be made to students who are unable to attend as a result of the new ceremony time. 

Refunds can be processed by visiting the Ede and Ravenscroft website using your existing log in details.

Will my guest tickets be valid?

Yes, all guests tickets remain valid for the single ceremony.  

Will alternative seating arrangements be valid?

Yes, there will be no change to pre-arranged seating. 

Will I still graduate with my peers?

Yes, you will graduate with your peers. All five faculties will graduate together at 11:30 on Friday, 24 March.  

Will any food or drinks be available at the ceremony venue when I arrive?

Complimentary pre-ceremony refreshments will be available from both Campus Central and the Sports Centre from 9:00.

When will the graduation reception take place?

The graduation reception for you and your guests will still take place immediately after the ceremony, at Campus Central and in the Queen’s Court area in the heart of the campus, with live music and a range of food and drinks available.

Graduation will take place on Friday 24 March 2023. Invitations to complete the graduation registration process have now been emailed to students. If you are expecting to graduate this Spring and have not received an invitation, please contact certificates@stir.ac.uk quoting your student number.
