Before you graduate
To make sure your graduation day goes smoothly, here's a list of actions you need to take before the day.

Register for your graduation ceremony
Around two months before your ceremony you'll receive a graduation registration invitation via email. It will detail how you register for your graduation ceremony. Students who have not received an email but think they may be eligible to graduate should contact certificates@stir.ac.uk to discuss their eligibility status.
Graduation registration will close once the maximum capacity is reached.

Apply for guest tickets
By registering to attend graduation you're entitled to two free guest tickets. When you register for your graduation ceremony, you'll be asked if you are interested in purchasing additional tickets (should any spare tickets become available). If additional tickets are available, you'll be notified via email around four weeks before the date of the ceremony. Extra guest tickets will cost £25 per person.

Hire your academic dress
You must wear the correct academic dress when attending your graduation ceremony. We work with Ede and Ravenscroft to ensure that appropriate academic dress is available to all graduands to hire for the day. You can order online and collect on campus on graduation day.

Arrange your photography
On graduation day, photography is provided by Ede & Ravenscroft, the official photographer of the University. There are a variety of photography pack options available for you to buy. You can order your photography at the same time as hiring your academic dress on the Ede & Ravenscroft website.
