Typography

These are the brand fonts that should be used across all print and digital material.


Standard font

Calibri

Light / Roman / Bold

This is our standard font which is available on all PCs.  This should be used for all written material.  It can also be used as a replacement in the absence of FS Maja or Frutiger, which are used for communications and marketing materials.

Secondary body font

Frutiger

Light / Roman / Bold

This is our secondary font, which requires a licence.  It is used in communications and marketing materials as body text, as a replacement for Calibri.  Licences are held by Graphics and Print, and selected third-party designers.

Primary headline font

FS Maja

Regular

This is our primary font for headings and sub-headings for communications and marketing materials.  It should not be used for body copy.  A small number of licences are available.  Every Directorate and Faculty, and other regular brand users, will be provided with the font by the Marketing Team.

Line spacing

To ensure consistency through all type applications, line spacing must be considered.

Setting Uppercase text

When setting Uppercase text, line height (leading) is 75% the size of the type size.
