Postgraduate research in
natural sciences

At the Faculty of Natural Sciences, we’re internationally renowned for our research exploring the relationship between human behaviour, technology and the environment.

We offer Phds supervised by experienced and expert staff in all of our subject areas. We're proud of the key contributions made by research students to our achievements.

We explore the complex and challenging interrelationships between human behaviours; technologies; and biological, environmental and aquatic systems. From fighting world hunger to preserving bees, our interdisciplinary research makes a positive difference to society and has a real impact on shaping government policy.

Study here and you’ll join a friendly postgraduate natural science community at the University of Stirling, where teaching, employability, internationalisation, facilities and inclusiveness are all five-star rated (QS Stars University Ratings).
