Postgraduate Conference 2024, 7 June 2024 - Change and Disruption

The Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Stirling is delighted to host the annual FAH Postgraduate Conference at Stirling.

The 2024 Postgraduate Conference will be a one-day event under the theme of Change and Disruption. 2023 was a year in which we experienced various changes and disruptions to life on all levels. But how does political, social, and technological change interact with or disrupt our academic approaches?

This conference will provide insight into how scholars in the Art and Humanities respond to and interact with change and disruption across time periods. Our keynote speakers Dr Anindya Raychaudhuri and Professor Tom Mole will be presenting on the theme of Change and Disruption.

Call for papers

Our keynote speakers Dr Anindya Raychaudhuri (University of St Andrews) and Professor Tom Mole (Durham University) will be presenting on the theme of Change and Disruption.

  • Postcolonial, feminist, and ecocritical responses to change.
  • New and emerging theoretical/methodological approaches to scholarship.
  • Adaptations, re-imaginings, and disruptions of texts.
  • Linguistic shifts, translation studies, and changing modes of communication.
  • Revolutions, upheavals, radical acts, and disruptive events.
  • Transformations – mythic, fantastical, and modern.
  • Reforms to legislation, particularly in response to environmental, technological, or social changes.
