Safety and welfare

We pride ourselves on supporting and encouraging our students to thrive in a safe and supportive atmosphere.

Safety on campus

We operate a 24-hour security policy on our campus. Most halls of residence offer 24-hour portering and a ‘sign in/sign out’ system for guests. A dedicated Accommodation Services team looks after the welfare of residents. The campus has been described by Police Scotland as one of the safest in Britain.

Health and wellbeing

We’re committed to the safety and welfare of our students. Each student has access to an Adviser of Studies who can help with study and academic issues throughout their time at university.

Student Support Services and The Students' Union have trained counsellors who provide a free service to all students.

Medical Centre

Airthrey Park Medical Centre is a General Medical Practice and Dental Centre offering NHS treatment on campus.

The Chaplaincy is a multi-denominational centre where students are able to seek confidential help and advice, as well as worship.
