Medical and dental centres

To provide for your healthcare needs during your time at university, our campus plays host to a dedicated NHS general medical practice and dental centre. Every student is entitled to register for these practices and benefit from the friendly, personal service they offer.

Please note: When you visit the medical or dental centres to complete your registration, you’ll need to bring your student ID card, passport or some other form of identification. If you’re a non-EU student you should also bring your visa/immigration documents.

Important information

To register with the University dental service, you must have an initial dental examination. This examination is free, but you won’t be entitled to receive daily NHS dental emergency cover until it’s carried out. Staff at the dental centre will schedule a suitable time for you to carry out this short procedure.
