International partnership courses

Teaching excellence across the globe

The University of Stirling has forged strong partnerships both at home and further afield. We've teamed up with a range of international institutions to offer a selection of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees which are taught, in part or entirely, overseas. It's what makes us a truly global university.

Partnerships in eastern Asia

University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences

The University of Stirling’s Doctor of Management (DMan) programme, jointly delivered with the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (UCASS) is one of the first Sino-UK DMan programmes to have been approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education.

The DMan immerses our students in cutting-edge interdisciplinary research – equipping them with the practical and theoretical skills they need to find innovative solutions to the challenges of international business.

The joint delivery of the DMan course offers students the chance to take advantage of a unique partnership, benefit from the best of both institutions’ expertise and to develop and become future intellectual thought-leaders and part of a new breed of Chartered Managers.

Students who complete the Executive Masters in International Business at Porto can transfer to the University of Stirling with 60 credits towards an MSc Business and Management or an MSc International Business, and vice versa. If based in Stirling, it will also be possible to study for the two degrees simultaneously.

This allows students to complete the two degrees in a semester less than usual, and to experience different styles of business teaching, as well as life in Scotland and in Portugal.

Budapest Business School

The University of Stirling Management School (SMS) has partnered with the prestigious Budapest Business School (BBS) to offer students the chance to study in Scotland and Hungary and graduate with two degrees.

From January 2023, students who complete all the necessary requirements at one institution can then transfer to the other, and graduate with an MSc International Business from Stirling and an MSc International Economy and Business from BBS.

This allows students to complete the two degrees in less time and experience different styles of business teaching, widening their academic focus, as well as life in Stirling and in Budapest, pandemic permitting.
