I am very thankful to the support staff here at Stirling. It has been a huge help having someone listen to me and help me, especially when I am a thousand miles away from home.

Safety and security

We put the safety and wellbeing of our students first. Police Scotland regularly describe our campus as one of the safest in Britain. We employ 24/7 security staff and have our own community police officer situated on campus.

Childcare

A range of childcare facilities are available both on and off campus. For example, we have our own playgroup and nursery facilities. Places are limited, so we encourage you to get in touch as early as possible. If you’re bringing your family to the UK for the first time see our family advice page

Spiritual wellbeing

Our University Chaplaincy is an independent, multi-faith unit that provides spiritual and pastoral care to students on a personal and confidential basis. A prayer room and washroom for Muslim students is located centrally on campus.

Students’ Union

Our Students’ Union is dedicated to the welfare and social needs of all our students. When you join as a student you automatically become a member of the National Union of Students (NUS). This allows you to get involved with all the events organised by our Students’ Union.

Improve your English

When you’re here you may want help with your English language skills. We offer In-sessional English Language courses to bridge the gap between general English and the academic English needed to excel at University. Learn more about our In-sessional English Language courses.
