Nursing

At the University of Stirling, we’re passionate about transforming lives. We’re ranked top 5 in Scotland for Nursing (The Guardian University Guide 2020) and our courses are approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

We offer courses in Adult Nursing (caring for adults aged over 18) and Mental Health Nursing. As a nursing student at Stirling, you’ll spend half of your time studying and the other half on placement. This is when you’ll gain work experience in a variety of real healthcare settings and you can even apply for a placement overseas. You’ll be supported throughout, with a personal tutor to help and guide you through your studies, as well as a practice mentor at each of your placements for additional support.
