Life Beyond Stirling:Slay on your first day | Starting a new job can be exciting. It may be a wonderful chance to do something you enjoy, make new friends, develop your skills, and, at the very least, earn a living. But, for many of us, the build up to our first day can also come with increased anxiety. A new job means learning new routines, new places, new systems, and meeting new people. We may be nervous about this big change. But there are things we can do to ease that first day anxiety. Come along to this fun filled, interactive session to connect with your inner confidence and slay your way on your first day. | 11:00am - 12:00pm | Find out more and sign up here | |
Life Beyond Stirling: Adulting, transitioning to work | When we asked final year students about what you wanted to know more about, high on the list was how to navigate the transition from uni to work. It is common to feel daunted and apprehensive about what it's like to work full-time in a 'proper job' - even if you've had summer jobs or internships, leaving uni can still feel scary (and exciting of course!) In this session, we'll be talking about some of the common worries and challenges, addressing your concerns, and creating strategies so that you feel like a real adult! | 12:00pm - 1:00pm | Find out more and sign up here |
