Study Nursing and Paramedic Science at Stirling

Our award-winning Nursing courses are approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), to help you become a confident practitioner, fully equipped to join a health care team upon graduation.

Our Paramedic Science course is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council enabling you to apply to register as a paramedic following successful completion of the course.

All courses are available to start in September 2024. Apply by the UCAS deadline of 31 January 2024.

Paramedic Science

BSc Paramedic Science (3 years)

  • You'll be trained to deploy your skills in an increasing range of emergency and non-emergency situations.
  • We work with the Scottish Ambulance Service and our partner NHS boards to offer you the best practice based learning.
  • We are experts in health education and recognised internationally for our research into out-of-hospital care.

Fees and funding

Scottish Nursing and Paramedic Science students are entitled to a bursary administered by the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) of £10,000 per years 1-3 of study and an additional £7,500 if completing an Honours year.

The University covers the costs of occupational health consultations, criminal record checks, compulsory uniforms and inoculations, representing approximately £430 of savings.

Accommodation

Accommodation is guaranteed (see guarantee terms and conditions) for first-year Nursing students at John Forty's Court which is on the main bus route or 15 mins walk from Stirling town centre and the University.
