How to apply for your accommodation
We make it easy to apply for accommodation through our online application portal. Regardless of whether you’re an undergraduate, postgraduate or visiting student, the portal allows you to select and prioritise the places you’d most like to live. If you’re a new or visiting student, you’ll be sent login details for the portal after accepting your offer to study at Stirling.
Accommodation guarantee
The University of Stirling will guarantee an offer of University-managed accommodation in your first year of full-time study, commencing in September 2025, if you meet the eligibility criteria and your application reaches us by the advised deadline. The guarantee is subject to terms and conditions.

Accommodation application dates
If your course starts in September 2025, applications accommodation will open at 10:00 on 7 April 2025. This includes applications for visiting students.
If your course starts in January 2026, you can apply for accommodation from October 2025.

If you're a new student, you'll follow these four simple steps to apply for university accommodation. Returning students only need to follow steps 3 and 4.

Check your email – we'll send you the login details you need to access the student portal.

Apply for accommodation online via the application link on the student portal.

Confirm your place by accepting the offer of accommodation we've given you by the deadline detailed on your offer.
