About me

Dr Lynne Falconer is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with an interest in aquaculture and the environment. She specialises in the development and use of (primarily GIS-based) models for aquaculture site selection and carrying capacity assessment, freshwater and marine spatial planning, and the ecosystem approach to aquaculture.

Lynne has worked on research projects in Asia, Europe and Latin America covering freshwater, marine and coastal ecosystems. She is currently part of two large scale collaborative EU H2020 research projects:TAPAS (Tools for Assessment and Planning of Aquaculture Sustainability) and ClimeFish (Co-creating a decision support framework to ensure sustainable fish production in Europe under climate change).
