What SafeTALK teaches

  • Recognising suicidal thoughts: identify signs and invitations for help that are often missed, dismissed, or avoided.
  • Overcoming barriers: gain confidence to talk openly and directly about suicide, challenging common myths.
  • The TALK steps: a practical framework for immediate action.
  • Connecting to care: learn how to link people at risk with specialized support and intervention services.

SafeTALK is available to staff and students, if you would like to attend please email kelly.marriot@stir.ac.uk to receive the booking link.
