SafeTALK training
SafeTALK is an accredited course, and all participants will receive a SafeTALK manual and a certificate of attendance provided by Public Health Scotland.
This is a half day workshop which teaches participants how to provide initial support to someone who is having thoughts of suicide.
What SafeTALK teaches
- Recognising suicidal thoughts: identify signs and invitations for help that are often missed, dismissed, or avoided.
- Overcoming barriers: gain confidence to talk openly and directly about suicide, challenging common myths.
- The TALK steps: a practical framework for immediate action.
- Connecting to care: learn how to link people at risk with specialized support and intervention services.
