Research

In research, I am committed to engaging in impactful and embedded research with strong patient involvement, and strengthening collaboration between healthcare, academia and the third sector. Specifically, I have research interests in capacity development in healthcare services, men's health and prostate diseases including lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) in men. Additionally, I have an interest in improving the efficacy and efficiency of the delivery of nursing education, improving the experiences of those studying nursing, and interprofessional and multidisciplinary practice.

Teaching

Teaching

In learning and teaching, I aim to teach content in a way that is practically useful to healthcare students. My specific interests relate to bioscience in nursing and inclusivity in healthcare practice. Specifically, facilitating learning of human anatomy and physiology from an individual and biopsychosocial perspective and as something that changes in line with our age and lifestyle. And to lessen or remove unreasonable barriers to nursing practice thereby enabling students to achieve to the best of their ability.
