About me

Dr Naja Yusof is a Lecturer in Management at Stirling Management School. She has BBA (Hons.) in International Business from Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia and holds an MSc in Technology & Innovation Management and a PhD in Management both from University of Stirling. She also has a background in Human Resource Management and an associate member of CIPD (UK). In academic, Naja holds a PGCert in Academic Practice (University of Strathclyde) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Previously, Naja work at University of Strathclyde, Plymouth MARJON university and visiting at University of Stirling. Prior to her doctoral studies, Naja worked in a quasi-government organisation as Training and Development Officer in Malaysia.

Naja teach and research in several areas of business and management subject includes entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial education, innovation, business analytics, simulation modelling, project management and operation. Her research work focuses on complex inter-relationship between university, government and industry (triple-helix) and their impact on conditions for innovation in local, regional, national and international level. Naja also interested in capability approach and human development that promotes individual’s freedom, capabilities and functioning.

Naja have been involved in a variety of research projects and government funded programmes; e.g. the Scottish Enterprise, the Economic and Social Research Council, Scottish Funding Council, MSC Internship Programme Malaysia and recently with Small Business Charter on Help to Grow Management programme. Her research output includes book chapter published by Palgrave Macmillan on Theorising Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Education and Entrepreneurial Activity in Malaysia; research papers titled The importance of part-time work to UK university students, report for Scottish Enterprise on employee-ownership (EO) in Scotland and producing a new database for Co-operative Development Scotland.
