The University of Stirling has appointed Professor Kirstie Blair as its new Dean of its Faculty of Arts and Humanities.
Professor Blair has strong links with Stirling having previously held the position of Chair in English Studies, and re-joins the University from her current post at the University of Strathclyde.
She will officially start her new role in August 2022, when she will take over from Interim Dean, Professor Neville Wylie.

I spent several very happy years working in the Division of Literature and Languages at Stirling, and I’m delighted to be returning as Dean of the Faculty. I look forward to working with former and new colleagues and furthering Stirling’s exceptional strengths in the Arts and Humanities.

As well as previous roles at Stirling and Strathclyde, Professor Blair spent seven years at the University of Glasgow, as a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in English Literature. She has a special interest in Victorian and Scottish literature and was elected to the Royal Society of Edinburgh in 2021.
