Two University of Stirling graduates have been awarded associate membership of the Chartered Banker Institute (CBI).

CBI representative Kevin Duffy presented certificates to Stefan Pfitzmaier, from Germany, and Hanyu Ye, from China, following the University’s winter graduation ceremony last week. Both graduated with an MSc Banking and Finance.

Programme director Dr Theo Diasakos said: “This innovative partnership provides huge opportunities for our MSc Banking and Finance graduates.

“It enhances the academic qualifications of our programme with the professional credentials of the CBI, a powerful combination in our graduates’ quiver to pursue successful careers in banking and financial services.

“For those of our graduates who wish to attain the Chartered Banker status with the Institute, it also allows an accelerated route, requiring the study of just two further modules.”
