Abstract
First paragraph: The aim of the Journal of Environmental Economics and Policy is to publish original papers on applications of economic theory and methods to the appraisal and evaluation of environmental issues, and to the economic evaluation of environmental policy. The objective is to stimulate the exchange of knowledge and best practice in analysis, appraisal, and evaluation, and to identify more rational and efficient policy responses to environmental problems using best practice Consequently, it is hoped that papers submitted to the Journal of Environmental Economics and Policy will have welfare-theoretic, or a policy-analytic orientation, or both.
