Abstract
This article stems from a major research study into private international law problems of cross-border surrogacy arrangements which is being carried out at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, by Paul Beaumont and Katarina Trimmings. The study, entitled ‘International Surrogacy Arrangements: An Urgent Need for Legal Regulation at the International Level’ is a 2 year project generously funded by the Nuffield Foundation. The project is conducted in co-operation with the Hague Conference on Private International Law
