Abstract
First paragraph: Golden moles (Family Chrysochloridae) are currently thought to comprise 21 species in nine genera (Bronner and Jenkins 2005). All genera and most species are found in southern Africa, but three species from two genera (Chrysochloris and Calcochloris) are found in central and east Africa in Burundi, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Gabon, Kenya, Republic of Congo Rwanda, Somalia, Tanzania and Uganda.
