About me

I graduated in Psychology from the University of Oviedo and completed a Master’s degree in Research in Behaviour and Cognition at the University of Barcelona, where I received a collaboration grant from the Spanish Ministry of Education to work at the Department of Social Psychology and Quantitative Psychology. I also hold a Master’s degree in Anthropological Research from UNED.

I have participated in field studies with chimpanzees (some as part of my Master’s thesis in collaboration with the Jane Goodall Institute Spain), and with howler monkeys.

My main research interests focus on cognitive evolution (temporal perception, consciousness, mental time travel (MTT), etc.) from a behavioural ecology perspective, with a particular emphasis on MTT and its relation to psychological disorders.

Currently, I am researching future thinking in bumblebees under the supervision of Dr. Gema Martin-Ordas, supported by a La Caixa Foundation fellowship. I am also developing a bumblebee conservation project in northern Spain, focused on promoting biodiversity conservation and wildlife research.
