About me

I graduated from Stirling University in 2004 and completed my MSc in Sports Studies in 2006. Whilst studying for this postgraduate degree, I worked in Sports Studies as a graduate Teaching Assistant. On the conclusion of my postgraduate degree, I joined the staff in the Sport as a Lecturer. I now lead on a number of UG Sports Studies modules including the first semester module and the Honours year Major Project module. In addition, I lead the Historical Development of Sport module and the PE, School Sport and Youth Culture module. This role allows me to work with a range of UG students and help them to develop their knowledge, understanding and appreciation of sport as well as a range of skills useful to the work place. My additional role as the Senior Academic Advisor of Studies for Sports Studies also gives me the opportunity to provide guidance and advice to students on how to shape their degree programme to suit their future career ambitions. I find working with the students and helping them to make the most of the journey through their degree is a highly rewarding aspect of my job.
