About me

I am a postgraduate researcher exploring the intersections of migrant heritage practices and the urbanscape.

My doctoral thesis explores the interactions between everyday heritage practices of migrant communities and the urbanscape of megacities, with a specific focus on South Indian migrants in Delhi, India.

Prior to my PhD, I worked as the Public Programmes Coordinator at the Museum of Art & Photography in Bengaluru, India, where I focused on museum education and outreach for 18-25 year old audiences. As part of my role there, I worked on conceptualising, planning, organising and executing various programmes (guided walks, workshops, talks and performances) related to the exhibitions on view as well as running the programming for the museum’s youth collective.

I hold a Master's in International Cultural Heritage Management from Durham University, UK and a Bachelor's with Honours in History from Delhi University, India. I have volunteered, interned and worked with museums, art institutions, archaeological sites and heritage sites across India, Nepal and the UK, where I engaged with intangible heritage, heritage outreach, heritage mapping and research.

Overall, I am interested in exploring ways to highlight the personal stories within heritage and make culture more accessible through education and outreach.
