About me

About me

Registered clinical psychologist and post doctoral research fellow specialising in clinical health psychology, particularly the promotion of health behaviour change and adjustment to life-threatening, life-limiting and long term conditions. Clinically, I have worked across cardiac rehabilitation, oncology, palliative, pain management and specialist trauma services within the NHS and third sector. Through this work, I have developed special interest and research in trauma-informed practice and caregiver/practitioner wellbeing. My research mainly employs qualitative methodology to explore lived experience, including multiperspective methods.

Current research project underway: 'Reducing patient delay in Acute Coronary Syndrome- exploring the impact of an innovative nurse-led intervention on real-world patient behaviour & creating a version for friends & family', led by Dr Barbara Farquharson (Principal Investigator), funded by The Burdett Trust for Nursing.
