About me

About me

I qualified as a teacher of Languages and Literature in 2004 in Brazil. Since then, I have been working in different international contexts, teaching and supervising graduate and undergraduate students in TEFL/TESOL, Language Education, Sociolinguistics and Education. I hold Masters in TEFL and Social Research Methods (University of Birmingham, UK). I am interested in narratives of experiences and identities. In my ESRC (Economic and Social Research Council) funded PhD at the University of Stirling, I investigated how the social practice of domestic violence is linguistically indexed in women’s narratives. Recently, in collaboration with other researchers, I have been exploring the learning of Sacred Languages.
