Abstract
For racial, strategic and economic reasons, interwar policies for migrant training focused on children and unemployed adults. The paper examines policy and pedagogic dimensions to an episode in adult education history in the UK. It explores policy and practice in the training of unemployed adults in readiness for emigration to the White Dominions.
