Matthews P & O'Brien D (2015) Introduction. In: O'Brien D & Matthews P (eds.) After Urban Regeneration: Communities, policy and place. Connected Communities. Bristol: Policy Press, pp. 1-6. http://www.policypress.co.uk/display.asp?k=9781447324164
First paragraph: This edited collection has emerged from a range of studies funded through the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council’s Connected Communities programme. It uses the evidence and knowledge created by a range of projects to explore two theses: firstly that the UK and England in particular has now entered a “post-regeneration era”; secondly, that new relationships are being developed between academics, universities and “communities” producing new kinds of knowledge. These two propositions are explored throughout the book, but are related to global challenges.
Urban regeneration; urban policy
