Abstract
An evaluation of the benefits of two complementary approaches to systems modelling: process mapping and simulation.  The evaluation includes both a qualitative assessment of the impact of the modelling and a statistcial co-varnace analysis of the effect on patient-time in the Emergency Department of changes stimulated by the modelling.
